Note that the repository at https://github.com/NCAR/ctsm_python_gallery/ has run out of space. I've started a new one (and expanded it for my CUPiD crop work) at https://github.com/samsrabin/ctsm_postprocessing. This should be brought in to the ESCOMP org.
