Description

I have 2 images that are failing to convert to jxl. Can you check these?
First is a wallpaper downloaded from internet:

Second is any screenshot coming from an android phone:

Steps to Reproduce

Try to convert the attached images to jxl (with the jpeg transcoding enabled)

Expected Result

Successful conversion

Current Result

1. Unsupported type
2. Getting pixel data failed

The landscape (2nd image) cannot be transcoded due to Lossless JPEG Transcoding limits. Follow the suggestions in the error message, and the image will transcode:

The JPEG image could not be transcoded (unsupported type or too much tail data).Enabling the "Normalize" option may help. Set "Format / Mode" to "Lossless JPEG Transcoding" to use it.

More information on why this happens.

The screenshot (1st image) was encoded by the Samsung screenshot tool in a way that violates the PNG specification. It has some data after the IEND chunk.

The IEND chunk marks the end of the PNG datastream. The chunk's data field is empty.

I was able to reproduce this issue on a 2021 Samsung smartphone.

There is already a related discussion about this: libjxl/libjxl#4383

As a workaround, you can convert this PNG to PNG, it will clean that data, then to JPEG XL.
