Description
When using the volume slider for the first time on a freshly-loaded reference audio file, the file's playback becomes permanently quieter.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Open or create a project
Load any reference audio file (both .ogg and .wav formats are affected)
Begin playback
Interact with the reference audio's volume slider - the playback instantly becomes quieter. Stopping and restarting playback or interacting with the volume slider again has no results.
Expected behavior
The maximum reference audio volume should not change upon interacting with the slider. (The reduced volume additionally makes the reference audio much harder to hear over the main track.)
