Ludus Latrunculi

https://ifnowcode.github.io/latrunculi

Simple rules, complex game. Ludus Latrunculi or Ludus Latrunculorum is an ancient Roman game of strategy that is like a cross between checkers and chess. More complex then checkers and simpler than chess. It has seven players that move like chess Rooks and one Dux that moves like a chess Queen. Here is a great link that explains the rules much more simply than I can.

Red is the player and Blue is the computer.

I have no idea how the name was originally pronounced. Roman Chess is the best way to describe this that I've found.
