maat is a tool for understanding codebases. Contributions are evaluated on technical merit. We want the project to be a place where people can focus on the work.
- Be direct and specific. Vague praise and vague criticism are both unhelpful.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Technical disagreements are good; personal attacks are not.
- Keep discussions on-topic. Design debates belong in issues and ADRs, not in PR comment threads.
- Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks of any kind.
- Deliberately derailing discussions.
- Publishing others' private information without consent.
Violations can be reported by opening a private message to a maintainer via github.com/maat-tools. Reports are handled privately. Maintainers may remove content, close issues, or ban contributors at their discretion.
This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces (GitHub issues, PRs, discussions) and when representing the project in public.
