The Boardoza E-Paper Driver 24 Pin Breakout Board makes it easy to add a clear, paper-like display to your microcontroller projects. E-paper displays are easy to read in bright environments and can keep the last image visible even after the power is turned off. Since they mainly consume power while updating the screen, they are a great choice for battery-powered applications such as electronic shelf labels, smart badges, price tags, information panels, industrial indicators, and low-power IoT devices.
The board includes a standard 24-pin FFC/FPC connector and the power circuitry required to operate compatible e-paper panels, so there is no need to build a separate driver circuit. It supports SPI and I²C-compatible signals, provides a busy-status output to indicate when the display is refreshing, and can be used with compatible black-and-white and multi-color e-paper panels, including black-white-red and black-white-red-yellow display types.
