Generated upload methods pass wrong args to _upload_multipart
Medium Severity
The generated upload_channel_file, upload_channel_image, upload_file, and upload_image methods in ChatRestClient and CommonRestClient (sync and async) were changed from self.post(...) to self._upload_multipart(...), but the arguments don't match. _upload_multipart in base.py requires file_path as a positional third argument and does not accept a json keyword — yet the generated code omits file_path and passes json=json. This causes a TypeError at runtime. The ChatClient and CommonClient subclasses override these methods correctly, masking the issue for normal SDK usage, but the base class methods are now broken if called directly.

Verified: the generated *RestClient upload bodies call _upload_multipart(..., json=json), which doesn't match BaseClient._upload_multipart(path, data_type, file_path, *, ...), so calling them directly would raise TypeError. Users can't reach them, though. The hand-written ChatClient, AsyncChatClient, CommonClient and AsyncCommonClient override all four (upload_file, upload_image, upload_channel_file, upload_channel_image) with correct file_path + form_fields calls, and Stream / AsyncStream / Channel only go through those subclasses. Before this PR the generated bodies were self.post(..., json=json), which wasn't a working upload either and was shadowed the same way. This is new generator output from GetStream/chat#17967, so the fix belongs in the chat Python template, not in hand-edited generated files the next regen would overwrite. It's noted in the PR body under Notes for review.

TLDR
This PR adds Chat scheduled messages to the SDK.
send_message(on both the client andChannel) now takesscheduled_at. When it is set, the message is not posted to the channel; the response carriesscheduled_messageinstead. Four new chat methods manage pending scheduled messages:query_scheduled_messages,update_scheduled_message,send_scheduled_message_nowanddelete_scheduled_message.The change is a plain regeneration from the backend spec plus one integration test. This SDK was behind chat
master, so the regeneration also brings in other API changes, listed below. It includes a few small breaking changes, so the title usesfeat!:, as earlier regenerations with removals did (#283). If the reviewer judges them non-breaking in practice, drop the!.Risk: merge only after backend CHA-5924 is deployed. Older backends ignore
scheduled_atand send the message immediately.Ticket

These are the same steps asgenerate.sh.Optional[X]/List[X], but the committed generated files useX | None/list[X]since feat: [CHA-4947] regenerate from latest OpenAPI #282 (CHA-4947). So I also ranruff check --fix --select UP006,UP007,UP045,UP037on the 17 generated files only. This keeps the existing style; without it the diff would include about 13k lines of annotation churn. No hand-written file was touched.Scheduled messages (CHA-5924 backend: GetStream/chat#18596, #18597, #18655, #18656)

The new
tests/test_chat_scheduled_messages.py(markedintegration) schedules a message, then queries, updates, sends now and deletes it. Each test skips itself in two cases: the app returns error 114 (feature disabled), or the backend ignoresscheduled_at. _upload_multipart(..., json=json). That is a new generator output (GetStream/chat#17967), and it doesn't matchBaseClient._upload_multipart(path, data_type, file_path, ...). The affected methods areupload_file,upload_image,upload_channel_fileandupload_channel_imageon the generated*RestClientclasses. Users never reach these generated bodies: the hand-writtenCommonClient/AsyncCommonClient/ChatClient/AsyncChatClientoverride all four, andStream,AsyncStreamandChannelgo through those overrides. Before this PR the generated bodies wereself.post(..., json=json)and were shadowed the same way. The generator template should still be fixed in chat; that is out of scope here.follow_batch(_async=...): the spec'sFollowBatchRequesthas anasyncfield, but its own description says FollowBatch rejects it. That is a feeds spec issue, outside this PR.Checklist

Note
Medium Risk
Large generated surface area with a few documented breaking model/positional-arg changes; scheduled messages and upload helper changes depend on correct backend deployment and hand-written client overrides remaining in place.
Overview
Regenerates the Python SDK from an updated OpenAPI spec, with scheduled messages as the headline capability:
send_messageacceptsscheduled_at, and the client exposes query, update, send now, and delete for scheduled messages (plus related models and webhooks). The regeneration also wires up channel ban queries (
query_channel_banson the REST client andChannel), extends chat (reminderexpires_at, batch channel updatesynchronous, grouped channel querysort), polls (config_key / config_team, team), and common (GCP Pub/Sub check). Feeds gains retention-policy APIs, user-interest upsert/delete, comment feedback, and many new query/include flags; videoringacceptscustom.Across clients,
build_query_paramcalls are refactored to pass explicit dicts (generator style), and generated file/image uploads now call_upload_multipartinstead ofpost(still overridden by hand-written clients in practice). Webhook tests expand for new event types (scheduled messages, polls, imports, etc.).Breaking (per PR): removed
AIVideoConfig.provider;ChannelMemberResponse.user_idandOwnUserResponse.blocked_user_idsare required; optional kwargs are alphabetically reordered (positional callers to methods likesend_messagemay break). Requires backend with scheduled-messages support deployed.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 6aa3bfa. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
