I enjoy turning ideas into software, solving problems, and understanding how things work under the hood.
My journey started with frontend development, and I've been expanding into backend engineering, databases, application architecture, and software engineering fundamentals.
I believe good developers don't just write code. They understand problems, make thoughtful decisions, and build solutions that people can actually use.
Currently, I'm focused on improving my engineering skills, exploring new programming languages, and building with purpose.
The Makayla Malaka platform is my current development focus.
I'm concentrating on building and improving the platform while applying what I know about frontend development, backend systems, and software engineering.
My goal is to approach development as more than just writing code: understanding requirements, solving problems, testing ideas, and improving the final product.
Current focus: Build, test, improve, and learn through real-world development.
I'm expanding my programming knowledge beyond web development and strengthening the fundamentals that make a good software engineer.
Learning Java fundamentals, object-oriented programming, classes, methods, and application structure.
Exploring C++ to deepen my understanding of programming fundamentals, memory, and how software works closer to the system level.
Improving my approach to debugging, API design, database relationships, application architecture, maintainable code, and version control.
My approach: Learn the fundamentals, understand the concepts, practise consistently, and apply what I learn.
I aspire to become a founder who builds technology companies around meaningful problems.
I'm particularly interested in how software and entrepreneurship can work together to create products that provide real value, improve everyday experiences, and open up opportunities for people.
I want to develop more than technical ability. I want to understand the entire process of building a product — from identifying a problem and understanding users to developing a solution, getting feedback, and making it better.
For me, the long-term goal is to combine engineering, product thinking, and entrepreneurship to build useful products and sustainable businesses.
I also create beginner-friendly technology content through O-Tech Labs, where I explore ways to make technology more accessible to people who are learning.
I don't want to learn technologies just to add them to a list. I want to understand how they work, know when to use them, and apply them to real problems.
My approach to growth is simple:
Learn → Understand → Build → Ship → Improve
Every line of code is an opportunity to learn. Every project is an opportunity to solve a problem. Every failure is a chance to improve.
Ideas are everywhere. Building is the difference.
