What does this change?

Pins pyhive-integration to the 2.0.0 beta (2.0.0b4) and handles the setup exceptions it introduces.

Library changes that matter here

  • 2.0 is a large refactor: snake_case methods and dataclass devices. It ships compatibility aliases, so every camelCase call this component and core's re-exported platforms make still exists with the same signature, and so does dict-style device access (device["hiveType"], .get()). All Auth methods the config flow uses are unchanged.
  • Every sensor hiveType in SENSOR_TYPES is still supported. Alarm, camera and siren were removed, and this component doesn't use them.
  • start_session no longer raises HiveReauthRequired on an empty or failed device fetch:
    • A failed fetch now raises HiveConnectionError → mapped to ConfigEntryNotReady, so a network blip retries setup instead of prompting reauth.
    • An empty account or missing tokens raises HiveUnknownConfiguration → mapped to ConfigEntryAuthFailed, the same reauth behaviour as before.
  • The credential exceptions now share a HiveAuthCredentialError base. The config flow catches them before HiveApiError, so error messages are unchanged.

Verification

  • script/test: 82 passed, including new setup-failure cases for both exceptions.
  • script/lint --check: clean.
  • The unit tests mock the library, so I also ran an offline session against the beta's bundled data.json through the real getters. All 70 devices across all six platforms updated without errors.

This is a beta. A component beta release would let users try it before 2.0.0 is stable.

None.

Checklist

  • Tests added or updated, and script/test passes
  • script/lint --check passes (after script/lint, which also regenerates translations)
  • If this is going into a release: bumped version in manifest.json (left for the release step)

Pin the 2.0.0 beta and handle the exceptions its start_session can now
raise. A failed device fetch raises HiveConnectionError, which now retries
setup instead of failing it. HiveUnknownConfiguration starts reauth,
matching what 1.0.9 did for an empty device fetch.

Merged master in (with #215, so Hassfest now reports the pyhive pin as a warning) and added the version bump to 2026.10.1b2 for the beta release. Locally: 82 tests pass, lint clean, hassfest passes with the expected warning, and check_release.py 2026.10.1b2 true passes.
