Remove the redundant Packages Start menu entry and Quick start section, making Install the first entry and the installation route. The authored root menu and section live in DistributionPackages/site. The resulting source passes the unchanged page-header generator: it normalizes existing buttons and does not recreate Start. No permanent generator removal rule is needed. Legacy installation/distributions anchors remain.
Files:
site/README.md: remove the authored Start link and Quick start heading/prose at their source.tests/test_package_pages.py: supply the GitHub output and runner-image environment required by the already-merged signer-cache workflow in the existing trusted-tools overlay fixture; additionally assert emitted platform identity. Existing overlay/capture assertions remain intact.Verification:
python3 <unchanged-control>/tools/snodec_sync page-headers --repo site --check: passed; no Start recreation or navigation drift.SNODEC_TEST_TOOLING=<control> python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -p test_package_pages.py -v: all 20 passed.copy_sitefollowed bypublication.render: Start/#quick-start and Quick start heading absent; Install button and legacy installation/distributions anchors present.python3 <control>/tools/snodec_sync docs-audit --repo .: 0 violations.python3 <control>/tools/snodec_sync page-headers --repo . --check: passed.git diff --cached --check: passed.Production code unchanged. Test code +3/-1 (net +2), restoring the full workflow-boundary fixture and adding a platform-output assertion without weakening checks. No direct Packages edit/push, workflow dispatch, settings changes, tag moves or merges. After merge, normal package publication or the owner’s manual guides/status publication copies this authored README to Packages.
