None of that has anything to do with dynamicThinkingEffort, and it made unrelated behaviour look like part of this change. The whole describe block is now byte-identical to upstream/main again, so the diff for this file contains only what the feature needs: the imports the new experimental-settings tests use, the new Experimental Settings round-trip tests, and the openAiStrictToolSchemas save round-trip tests. No changed line in the diff mentions auto-deny any more. Local: syntax gate clean (0 TS1xxx). The restored block is upstream's own text against an unchanged renderSettingsView helper, so its behaviour is what upstream CI already covers.
Two conflicts. api/index.ts: both sides added a type import from @roo-code/types (this branch's ReasoningEffortExtended, main's ModelRecord) - both kept. ClineProvider.spec.ts: main rewrote the getModels assertions to also assert the per-provider fetch handler (and added an all-calls loop), a superset of this branch's reformatted copies of the same assertions, so main's version wins the three overlapping hunks; the branch's effort coverage sits in its own tests elsewhere and is untouched. One stray double blank line from the auto-merge was removed. Local proofs at the merge: ClineProvider 206 passed; dte-effective-reasoning- effort + webviewMessageHandler + experiments 104 passed; types experiment test 3 passed; webview ExperimentalSettings + SettingsView 34 passed; tsc --noEmit clean; ESLint --max-warnings=0 clean; prettier clean on the touched files.

The wide conflict list was the multi-base artifact of the two branches merging different main snapshots; every file this unit does not own took the refreshed U1 side (which already carries the correct main merge), and the unit's own content was preserved: the transient metadata field's type import in the API index, and the non-vacuous invalid-timestamp delete test (ported onto main's current provider-spec text, which had reverted to the vacuous calls). The unit's three files are otherwise unchanged. Typecheck, the four affected suites (403 tests), ESLint max-warnings=0 and Prettier clean.
