👋 Who I Am

I'm Aftab Bashir, a senior .NET engineer with nine years building production systems that other people depend on, across government, enterprise and commercial environments.

My day job is secure enterprise applications in a regulated environment. Everything else I build ends up here as open source: MCP servers for AI assisted platform engineering, internal developer platforms, event driven pipelines on Kafka and RabbitMQ, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.

I write about what I build on Dev.to, including the parts I got wrong, and publish the reusable pieces to NuGet.

▸ BlazorMemory

Give your .NET app a memory.

NuGet Downloads Stars

Most LLM apps forget everything the moment the session ends. BlazorMemory sits underneath your Blazor or ASP.NET Core app, pulls durable facts out of conversations, embeds them, and hands the relevant ones back the next time they matter. Ten months of work, shipped as a suite of NuGet packages.

🌍 Open Source Contributions

Pull requests I've authored into community projects.

🔗 Repository ⭐ 🛠️ Contribution
garrytan/gstack PR #3179 (shipped in v1.91.106.0): fixed the browse daemon hanging after its last tab was closed outside the CLI; goto, status and stop now recover instead of failing with "No active page".
morluto/awesome-reverse-engineering PR #28 (merged): verified esptool's offline firmware inspection with a hand-built ESP32 image and corrected its "device required" description.
PR #26 (merged): added the Keystone assembler with a reproducible x86-64/ARM64 round-trip check.
PR #8 (merged): added companion tools (BinExport, angr-management, pyinstxtractor-ng, WinDbg MCP) to existing entries from issue #6.
awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted-data PR #3209 (merged): removed Picsur, which is marked unmaintained upstream.
headroomlabs-ai/headroom PR #4176 (open, approved): make install-git-hooks now works in linked Git worktrees and won't touch a parent repo's hooks, with an end-to-end regression test.
morluto/rea PR #3967 (open): new MCP tool and CLI command that lets AI agents read saved Process Monitor XML/CSV exports as evidence, with paging and explicit partial coverage for truncated files.
NousResearch/hermes-agent PR #136473 (open): fix(desktop): model names were cut off when pricing was shown; the menu widens while pricing is on, with tests for both states.

🏗️ One API Call, a Whole Service

This is what my IDP Platform does when a developer asks for a new service. Everything after the request happens without anyone touching a console.

Provisioning that used to take most of a day now takes one request and a few minutes.
