AISTATS Society Website

This repository is the main website for the Society for Artificial Intelligence and Statistics (AISTATS). It introduces the society and points visitors to current and past annual meetings.

Each year's conference has its own repository under the aistats GitHub organisation (for example aistats2026, aistats2027). Those sites are created from the stub template. When a new conference year begins, update this site so the home page links to the current meeting.

Creating a new conference site

These steps need to be done by someone with admin access to the aistats GitHub organisation.

  1. Create the new repo in GitHub by going to https://github.com/organizations/aistats/repositories/new, using the name aistatsXXXX where XXXX is the year of the conference.

  2. Select "Create from Template" using stub as the template.

  3. Give the conference a description, for example "April 9 - 11, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, Canary Islands".

  4. Make sure the repo is set to public.

  5. Create the repo.

  6. Edit the _config.yml file in the new repo to set baseurl to /aistatsXXXX.

  7. Check that the stub website appears online at https://aistats.org/aistatsXXXX/.

  8. Update this main AISTATS site to list the current year's conference (once the previous year's meeting has finished): https://github.com/aistats/aistats.github.io.

  9. Create a new admin team for this year's page, aistatsXXXX, and assign it admin access to the aistatsXXXX repository.

More information

  • See a list of repositories of past websites here.

  • GitHub serves organisation/project pages from the repository contents. Yearly conference repos are available under https://aistats.org/aistats20xx. This main site (aistats.github.io) is served from its default branch.

  • Repository set up by Neil Lawrence and first conversion of the old pages by Wittawat. Pages then archived for the 2016 and 2017 editions of the conference.
