MCP server for managing YouTube and YouTube Music playlists from Claude Desktop via the YouTube Data API v3.
- Go to the Google Cloud Console
- Create a project and enable the YouTube Data API v3 (APIs & Services → Library)
- Create OAuth client ID credentials (APIs & Services → Credentials → Desktop app)
- Download the JSON and save it as
client_secret.jsonin this project root - Configure the OAuth consent screen if prompted (add your Google account as a test user)

YouTube Data API default quota is 10,000 units/day. Reads are cheap (1-3 units), writes cost 50, search costs 100.
