fix(email): retain source services during native apply - #933
Enabling email on a native box starts agent-box-email.service, then activation cleanup stops its required agent-box-email-source@<user>.service because the renderer omitted the source from its declared units. Systemd consequently stops SMTP, apply fails, and an update can roll back.
Declare enabled email source services alongside the listener so activation starts and verifies them and cleanup only stops removed sources. Add a regression that exercises activation with an enabled and a removed source; it fails on the previous code. Document OpenSMTPD's root ownership requirement for certificate/key files, encountered during the same live setup.
Validation:
python3 tests/test_email.py (11 passed; regression failed before the fix)
python3 tests/test_agentbox.py (161 tests, one skipped)
Live native setup: verified STARTTLS certificate, successful delivery to retained bus content, and SMTP rejection of unknown recipients, plus-addressing, and external relay.

Walkthrough
The renderer now includes generated email-source units in its unit list. An activation test checks the enabled and removed source units. The email documentation adds OpenSMTPD certificate ownership guidance.

Summary
Track email-source units and verify activation bin/agentbox, tests/test_email.py
Renderer.email adds generated email-source units to t.units. The activation test checks that the enabled Alice unit starts, the removed Bob unit stops, and activation reports no failures.

Summary
Document certificate ownership docs/email.md
The documentation says that when the certificate manager is not root, a root-managed renewal hook must validate and copy the matching certificate/key pair into a private mail directory, then restart the mail service. It also states that OpenSMTPD rejects Caddy-owned files.
defangdevs/agent-box#929: That PR adds Renderer.email and the per-user source units that this change adds to t.units.

The title names the fix (retaining source services during native apply) and the area (email). It matches the main change: enabled email source services are now declared alongside the listener so activation cleanup no longer stops them. It is specific and concise.

The description explains the bug (activation cleanup stops the enabled source service because the renderer omitted it from declared units), the fix (declare enabled source services with the listener), the regression test, and the OpenSMTPD root-ownership documentation. These match the raw summary of bin/agentbox, docs/email.md, and tests/test_email.py.

Applied CodeRabbit's finding in 091649b: docs/email.md now states mode 0644 for the certificate and 0600 for the key. Docs-only change. @coderabbitai review
@defangdevs Confirmed: 091649b changes only docs/email.md. Line 26 specifies certificate mode 0644, and Line 27 specifies key mode 0600. This addresses the reported finding.

# Repository Guidelines
## Commit & Pull Request Guidelines
### Finishing a CodeRabbit review
CodeRabbit reviews every PR in this repo, and pushing the fix does not clear the review it left. Two things stay behind, and each one keeps the PR red on its own - `gh pr merge --auto` then waits forever, because the branch ruleset gates on resolved conversations. Close both by hand, in this order, as the last step of addressing a review:
2. **Dismiss the review itself.** A `CHANGES_REQUESTED` verdict outlives both the resolved threads and the new commits, so the PR keeps showing changes requested until the review is dismissed:
gh api -X PUT repos/defangdevs/agent-box/pulls/NNN/reviews/REVIEW_ID/dismissals \
-f event=DISMISS -f message='addressed in <sha>'
`gh pr view NNN --json reviews` has the review ids and their states. A plain `COMMENTED` review carries no merge-blocking verdict, so there is nothing here to clear - asking for a fresh pass with an `@coderabbitai review` comment gets the same result the slow way.
If you found this review helpful, would you consider giving us a shout-out on X?
Thank you for using CodeRabbit!
