Indent category children consistently when expanded or collapsed so selected and unread exceptions still read as children of their header. Keep threads and voice participants one level deeper and ungrouped channels at the root. Preserve Slack sections, with regression coverage and updated sidebar design documentation. Collapse now hides every Discord category child, including the selected channel, unread rows, threads, and occupied voice channels, while the header rollup still carries the hidden attention. Slack sections keep the old attention exceptions, and expanded Discord channels sit one level under the header with threads and occupants one level deeper. Ungrouped channels stay at the root. Tests cover the Discord and Slack split.

Collapsed Discord categories still displayed selected channels, unread channels and occupied voice channels, and those rows had the same indentation as the category header. This made the hierarchy misleading and collapse appear ineffective.
Make a collapsed Discord category hide every channel, thread and voice participant. The open conversation remains visible, and hidden unread activity and mentions are summarized on the category header. Expanded channels indent beneath their category, with threads and participants one further level deeper. Ungrouped channels remain at the root. Slack retains its existing section layout and attention exceptions.
Update regression coverage for selected/unread/occupied children, collapsed open threads, hidden quiet siblings, nested depths after expansion and unchanged Slack behavior. Update the sidebar design specification.
