The changes for ConfigWay 2.0, released together with the rest of the Way family on Way.Shell.

  • The editor is a Way.Shell module (Kododo.Way.Shell 2.0.0-preview.1 from NuGet, @kododo-dev/way-shell from npm): layout, theme, language, API client and session handling come from the shell; UseConfigWay() mounts it with MapWay.
  • Breaking: outside Development the editor answers 403 until the host calls RequireAuthorization() or AllowAnonymous() on what UseConfigWay() returns. The demo allows anonymous access.
  • Breaking: UpdateConfiguration answers errors with problem details (Reiho 2).
  • Reiho 2.1.1; patched System.Security.Cryptography.Pkcs.

Checked locally: 170 tests × net8/9/10, PostgreSQL and SQL Server tests, browser scenarios of the demo in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and WebKit.

Microsoft.Data.SqlClient depends on Pkcs versions with known vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-84008, CVE-2026-70162); ConfigWay.SqlServer references 8.0.2, 9.0.21 and 10.0.13 per target.
Requests to the editor's API are strict: unknown fields and missing non-nullable values return 400.
UpdateConfiguration returns 204 on success; when settings do not pass validation it answers 400 with the messages under settings, and nothing is saved. The editor reads the messages from the response.
The editor is a Way.Shell module: layout, theme, language, API client and
session handling come from the shell, and UseConfigWay() mounts it with
MapWay. Outside Development the editor answers 403 until the host calls
RequireAuthorization() or AllowAnonymous() on what UseConfigWay() returns.
-p:UseLocalWayShell=true still builds against ../WayShell.
