Python 3.15.0 was released on 2026-10-09.

  • Add Python 3.15 to the CI test matrix (ubuntu, macOS, Windows).
  • Add the Programming Language :: Python :: 3.15 classifier.
  • Upgrade pandas (3.0.5 → 3.0.6), pyarrow (25.0.1 → 26.0.0 where supported), numpy (2.5.3 → 2.5.4), pydantic (2.13.5 → 2.14.0) and pydantic-core (2.46.5 → 2.50.0) in uv.lock. The previously locked versions had no Python 3.15 wheels, so uv sync tried to build them from source and failed on pyarrow.
  • Leave out the dev dependency pyreadstat on Windows with Python 3.15. It has no 3.15 wheel yet, and its source build fails there because iconv.h is missing. test_read_spss already skips when pyreadstat is not installed, so that one test is skipped in that single CI job.

No plugin code changes were needed. The runtime dependencies (mkdocs, pandas, pyyaml, tabulate) all install on 3.15; pyyaml builds from source there, as it has no 3.15 wheel yet.

Checked locally: all tests pass on Python 3.15.0rc3 (macOS, Apple Silicon) and 3.10 with the updated lockfile.

Test Python 3.15 in CI and add the classifier. Upgrade pandas, pyarrow,
numpy and pydantic in the lockfile to releases with Python 3.15 wheels.

pyreadstat has no Python 3.15 wheel yet, and building it on Windows fails
because iconv.h is missing. The read_spss test skips without it.
