With native macOS screen capture, the ScreenCaptureKit helper now records the camera as well (WebcamRecorder: AVCaptureSession + AVAssetWriter, hardware HEVC at 3 Mbit/s, H.264 if the writer refuses HEVC). The renderer no longer records the webcam with MediaRecorder on that path, so Chromium's recording limits (the MP4 muxer's 4 GiB CHECK, one Blob on Stop) don't apply, and a HUD crash doesn't touch the webcam file. The camera frames share the screen recorder's queue and clock state: they are placed on the screen timeline (first screen frame, accumulated pause), dropped while paused or during a warm-start countdown, and the last frame is held so both files end together. The helper prints WEBCAM_CAPTURE_STARTED / WEBCAM_CAPTURE_UNAVAILABLE at start and WEBCAM_OUTPUT <path> OFFSET_MS <n> on stop; main passes nativeWebcam and webcamPath/webcamTimeOffsetMs through. If the camera can't be opened natively, the renderer records it the old way. Windows and Linux are unchanged. Prebuilt darwin helpers are rebuilt.

webadderallorg#1146 records the webcam in the macOS capture helper as recording-<ts>-webcam.mp4. A countdown capture discarded after a HUD crash now deletes that file too (nativeCaptureSidecarPaths); when it doesn't exist the delete is skipped, so this works in either merge order.

…covered The stop-failure fallback and recoverNativeMacCaptureOutput returned the screen recording without the webcam file the helper had printed, and the renderer's recovery asked the browser webcam recorder, which never ran in native mode. A recovered recording lost its webcam layer and left the file on disk. withNativeWebcam attaches WEBCAM_OUTPUT on every main-process path, and recoveredWebcam makes recovery use that file and its offset before falling back to the browser recorder.
The renderer passes the camera's Chromium label, and Chromium adds " (<vendor>:<product>)" to the macOS name whenever the camera has a model ID (VideoCaptureDeviceDescriptor::GetNameAndModel). The helper compared names exactly, so such a camera was "not found" and the webcam fell back to the browser recorder. Found in a packaged build. labelMatches accepts the name alone or with that suffix, and nothing else. Desk View cameras are listed too, so choosing one no longer fails the same way. The darwin screen capture helpers are rebuilt.

Two cameras of one model share the macOS name and the vendor:product suffix, so the label can't tell them apart, and the first one found could be recorded instead of the chosen one. When more than one camera matches, the helper now reports the camera as unavailable and the app records the webcam the old way, by Chromium's exact device ID. The darwin screen capture helpers are rebuilt.
Description
On macOS with native screen capture, the webcam is now recorded by the ScreenCaptureKit helper instead of a
MediaRecorderin the HUD renderer.WebcamRecorder(inScreenCaptureKitRecorder.swift) runs anAVCaptureSessionon the chosen camera and writesrecording-<ts>-webcam.mp4withAVAssetWriter: hardware HEVC at 3 Mbit/s for 720p, or H.264 at 4 Mbit/s if the writer refuses HEVC. Key frame every 2 s.webcamLabel, thenwebcamDeviceId, else the default camera). Chromium's label adds(<vendor>:<product>)to the macOS name when the camera has a model ID, so the name matches with or without that suffix (labelMatches). Desk View cameras are included. If two cameras match (two of one model), the helper reports the camera as unavailable and the renderer records it the old way, by Chromium's exact device ID.WEBCAM_CAPTURE_STARTEDorWEBCAM_CAPTURE_UNAVAILABLE <reason>at start, andWEBCAM_OUTPUT <path> OFFSET_MS <n>on stop (parseNativeWebcamOutput). Main returnsnativeWebcamfrom start andwebcamPath/webcamTimeOffsetMsfrom stop.Motivation
Follow-up to #1139. Recording the webcam in the renderer is what exposed it to Chromium's limits: the MP4 muxer's 4 GiB
CHECK(#1143, reported upstream as https://issues.chromium.org/issues/574578846) and the single Blob on Stop (#1142). On macOS, the helper that already records the screen can record the camera too, so none of that applies, and a HUD crash no longer touches the webcam file. Side effects: the webcam is HEVC at about 3 Mbit/s instead of 8 Mbit/s H.264 (files around a third of the size), and screen and webcam come from one process on one clock.Type of Change
Related Issue(s)
#1139. Independent of #1142–#1145. #1145's countdown discard already deletes
