The nightly Fuzz workflow has failed every night since at least Oct 31. Two test-side causes, neither an ORM bug.
1. Constant division by zero the model missed
The model declines constant division by zero, but checked the plan as nested rather than as the SQL parses it. Arithmetic chains are not parenthesised (documented), so the plan (Id + 1) % 0 compiles to Id + 1 % 0. ClickHouse reads that as Id + (1 % 0), folds it, and fails with Code: 153 ILLEGAL_DIVISION even over an empty table, while the model expected []. ClickHouse also runs % on an empty block, so Id % 0 fails with no rows (/ 0 returns inf).
model.ts now checks chains after precedence re-parsing and declines any / or % whose divisor folds to zero (new foldConstant).
2. ClickHouse 26.2 % bug, wider than the known issue said
The existing clickhouse-26.2-union-negative-modulo entry only covered UNION ALL. Probing 26.2.19.43 directly shows the real trigger: a column% a negative power-of-two constant, literal or folded, in any query:
expression
26.2.19.43
26.8.2.7
(toInt64(number) - 5) % -2
[1,0,1] ❌
[-1,0,-1]
(toInt64(number) - 5) % -8
[3,4,5] ❌

% -3, % 2, constant dividend
correct
correct
The union entry is replaced by a plan-level clickhouse-26.2-negative-power-of-two-modulo entry (union branches already check plan issues). PlanInput gains executed, so compile-only properties don't skip on a server bug. The target can't see its server version, so this skips on 26.8 too: delete it when CI drops 26.2.
Verification
Replayed 5 of the 6 Nov 3–5 failures against local 26.2.19.43 and 26.8.2.7: they reproduce on main and are skipped with the right reason after this change.
queries.fuzz.test.ts at FUZZ_SCALE=20 passes 50/50 on both versions; each new skip reason drops under 1% of inputs (about 12 of 2,000).
Full tests/fuzz passes 269/269 on 26.2; bun run typecheck is clean.
New fixed cases (Id + 1 % 0, Id % 0 over empty tables) fail against the old model and pass with this one.
Not covered: the Oct 31–Nov 2 failures ran on an older commit (b57faf1) and weren't replayed, including a d1 compiled row codec retains generated values failure on Nov 2.
…ailures
The model checked constant division on the plan as nested, not as the SQL
parses it: `(Id + 1) % 0` compiles to `Id + 1 % 0`, which ClickHouse folds
to `1 % 0` and rejects over any data. ClickHouse also runs `%` on an empty
block, so `Id % 0` fails with no rows. The model now checks chains after
precedence re-parsing and declines `/` or `%` by a divisor folding to zero.
The 26.2 known issue was scoped to UNION ALL, but the server bug is a column
`%` a negative power-of-two constant (-2, -4, -8, folded or literal) in any
query. Replace it with a plan-level entry that only applies to executed plans.

The fuzz reference model now folds constant arithmetic and skips expressions with constant zero divisors. Known plan issue checks distinguish executed plans from compile-only plans and match a ClickHouse negative-modulo case on executed plans.
The model folds constant arithmetic using parsed SQL precedence and skips division or modulo expressions with a constant zero divisor. Tests cover 1 / 0, Id + 1 % 0, and Id % 0.
Executed plan issue matching tests/fuzz/known-issues.ts, tests/fuzz/compile.fuzz.test.ts, tests/fuzz/queries.fuzz.test.ts
PlanInput now records whether a plan executed. The ClickHouse negative-modulo matcher applies to executed plans; compile checks pass false, while individual plan and UNION branch checks pass true. unionIssues is empty.
MapleTechLabs/effect-orm#129: Adds empty-fixture checks for constant division by zero, which this change extends to parsed arithmetic expressions.
Merge Risk: Low · up to ba57d
The fuzz suite can miss some zero-divisor cases and skip some valid ClickHouse plans. Correct those checks before relying on the nightly soak results; production behavior is unchanged.

Match modulo after SQL-precedence parsing.
The matcher inspects the original plan tree, but the model reparses arithmetic chains. For a plan shaped as (Id + 1) % -2, the SQL expression is Id + 1 % -2: the modulo has a constant dividend. This matcher still skips the plan, although the documented server bug requires a column-dependent dividend. Match the reparsed expression and its dividend so valid plans remain in the fuzz run. Fold divisors using the target’s division semantics.
For PostgreSQL, Id / (1 / 2) has a zero divisor. With an empty fixture, evaluate does not exclude this plan because foldConstant returns 0.5. Preserve floating-point folding for the ClickHouse issue check.
